6/9/13 International Football UK

England 4-0 Moldova

Steven Gerrard, Rickie Lambert and Danny Welbeck (2) helped England to the top of the table ahead of a vital game at Ukraine on Tuesday! A 25-yarder from the skipper, Gerrard, and a tap-in from Lambert, before two ieces of sublime skill from Welbeck on either end of Half Time brought an easy win to Roy Hodgson’s boys! Hodgson, however, was not happy with the referee’s decision to book Danny Welbeck, meaning he’ll miss the next match, after he kicked the ball away less than a second after the referee had blown for a free kick!

Hodgson:

It overshadowed the match.

Macedonia 2-1 Wales

Wales suffered a defeat which ended there hopes of qualifying for the 2014 world cup after the lost 2-1 away to Macedonia! Trickovski put Macedonia ahead inside 21 minutes, but Aaron Ramsey converted a 39th minute penalty to equalise! However, with ten minutes left on  the clock, Trajkovski scored for Macedonia to send Wales away pointless! Real Madrid’s latest recruit, Gareth Bale, was an unused sub and at Half Time, was confronted on the pitch by two unknown fans!

Scotland 0-2 Belgium

Goals from Steven Defour and Kevin Mirallas put Belgium 5 points clear at the top of WCQ group A! The Belgium team named 6 Premier League players in their team, including Christian Benteke, Kevin Mirallas, Nacer Chadli and Marrouane Fellaini! Scotland, now bottom, played awfully, with only two real chances in the whole game!

Northen Ireland 2 – 4 Portugal

Bruno Alves put Portugal ahead before two goals from Northern Ireland put them in th lead! After, a stunning hat-trick from C Ron put Portugal out of reach! The game was somewhat overshadowed by the three red cards, with Postiga dismissed for Portugal after an alleged headbutt! But then, Kyle Lafferty and Chris Brunt were sent off for Portugal, both for late challenges!

So, a review of the days footy, and a blow for England before the crucial match with Ukraine, that’s all you need to know before Tuesday! Goodbye!
