The Book Corner – A Review and a Preview

Welcome to The Book Corner, where I review and preview the latest books!

First Up – A book review!

Russian Roulette – Anthony Horowitz

The tenth book in the popular teenage spy series, Alex Rider, takes a twist as a story based on Yassen Gregorivich, the villain in a few books, tells his own story. What was he originally called? Does he even know Alex’s dad? And what was his childhood like? Find out all the secrets and a second point of view of Stormbreaker in the Epilogue! The thick book is a fascinating read and gives so much suspense that it is hard to put down! Anthony Horowitz has (possibly) concluded the series in a fantastic way. This is truly a modern-day children’s classic!

Now – A Preview

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Hard Truth – Jeff Kinney

Greg Heffley’s on a losing streak. His best friend, Rowley Jefferson, has ditched him, and finding new friends in middle school is proving to be a tough task. To change his fortunes, Greg decides to take a leap of faith and turn his decisions over to chance. Will a roll of the dice turn things around, or is Greg’s life destined to be just another hard-luck story?
